TREASURES OF A SLAVER'S KINGDOM An Authorized ENCOUNTER CRITICAL Quest Adapted by S. John Ross from the nonexistent opus. Original game by Dr. Saul Leeman, with Henry and Dinah Riley. "As of Christmas Eve, 2010, the commercial version will be re-released as freeware, a contribution to the world's growing library of text-adventure games." - From the ToaSK Sample Edition Introduction Christmas Eve, 2007 THIS FILE IS KIND OF BORING It's mainly legal and other flavors of blah-de-blah. For actual fun, dive right into the main documentation (Treasures of a Slaver's Kingdom.pdf) and don't overlook those post-it-note annotation thingies in the PDF margins; they're packed with hoo-ha. OH, WAIT! YOU'LL NEED SOME KIND OF INTERPRETER If you're an Interactive Fiction veteran, you knew this and already have one (or several). If you're a pen-and-paper gamer coming here via Encounter Critical, though, you may need an interpreter. As of this writing, that means groovy free software like Gargoyle or Spatterlight or Frotz ... it's like, if the game were an MP3 file, these interpreters would be the music-playing programs. Or something. Search engine. Get to. Search for: Gargoyle! Spatterlight! Frotz! Even if you're reading this years from now and those programs are long outmoded, the search will probably still turn up the latest equivalents, because these games? They are FOREVER, bay-bee. Count on it. Hm. Why is the background music suddenly ominous? COPYRIGHT NOTICE The contents of this archive (ToaSK.zip) are by and Copyright (c) 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2013 by S.
